As a fully accredited PCTIA and EQA designated private training institute, financing is available through school payment plans, employment services, band funding, StudentAidBC (SABC), and most financial institutions for those who qualify.
Employment Services - Human Resources Development Canada (HRDC) has programs available to those who qualify and are currently collecting insurable earnings through HRDC. Contact your local HRDC office for information about their current programs.

Band Funding - The Academy has worked with many Bands in the region to facilitate financing and funding. Please contact your local Band Administrator for more information.

Personal Credits - First Nations students may also be eligible to redeem personal credits toward any of the programs at Interior Academy.

Financial Institutions - For those who do not qualify for Band funding or HRDC sponsorship, your local bank or credit union may provide a student line of credit. The Academy has worked with all major financial institutes in the region and can assist students with their application process.

In order to graduate students must:

  • receive an 80% overall average.
  • accrue the required hours for the program.

At Interior Academy we offer PCTIA registered diploma programs in hair, esthetics, nails, and makeup. Interior Academy has achieved the Education Quality Assurance (EQA) Designation through CIC. Interior Academy is dedicated to providing a faculty with the Provincial Instructor Diploma, its' equivalency, or Masters level credentials. Our focus on practical learning is based on the world's most advanced curriculum, the Pivot Point system. This dedication has resulted in outstanding and timely graduates who are in high demand. Our full service salon and spa performs over 8,000 services per year, making us one of the busiest salon/spa in the region. This is the most valued part of our program, which makes practical hands on learning possible for our students.

Professional Hairstyling Diploma Program - 43 Weeks (1500 hours)
Professional Spa Technician Diploma Program - 30 Weeks (1030 hours)
Professional Nail Technology Diploma Program - 14.8 Weeks (456 hours)
Makeup Artistry Diploma Program - 5 Weeks (38 hours)
Contact the school to set up an appointment for an interview prior to registering for a course. Ensure you bring proof of age (government issued photo ID) and a transcript or proof of education level IF you are under the age of 19. Enrollment contracts, course outlines, and school policies are then reviewed and signed. Students who are under the age of 19 must have a parent or guardian signature on the enrollment contract. A non-refundable registration fee of $200.00 is required at the time of registration into a program.
Our Refund Policy is governed according to Private Career Training Institutions Agency (PCTIA) policy, which states that:

Refunds in the case of withdrawal or dismissal:Written notice must be provided by:

  • student to the institution when the student withdraws and
  • the institution to the student where the institution dismisses a student

Refunds before the program of study begins:

  • If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution within 7 days after the contract is made, and before the commencement of the period of instruction specified in the contract, the institution may retain 5% of the total tuition and fees due under the contract to a maximum of $250.
  • If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution 30 days or more before the commencement of the period of instruction specified in the contract and more than 7 days after the contract was made, the institution may retain 10% of total tuition only due under the contract to a maximum of $1000.

Subject to Section 6(a)(1) above, if written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution less than 30 days before the commencement of the period of instruction specified in the contract, and more than 7 days after the contract was made, the institution may retain 20% of the total tuition only, due under the contract to a maximum of $1300.

2) Refunds after the program of study starts:

(a) If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution or a student is dismissed before 10% of the period of instruction specified in the contract has elapsed, the institution may retain 30% of the tuition due under the contract.
(b) If written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution, or a student is dismissed after 10% and before 30% of the period of instruction specified in the contract has elapsed, the institution may retain 50% of the tuition due under the contract.
(c) If a student withdraws or is dismissed after 30% of the period of instruction specified in the contract has elapsed, no refund is required.
