Everything from film, runway, theater, magazines and everything in between, professional hairstylists, spa technicians, and makeup artists are in high demand. There are almost limitless opportunities for growth and advancement in our ever changing profession. Whether freelancing, working in your local salon, or owning your own anything is possible if you possess the technical skills, creativity, and work ethic to succeed.

At Interior Academy we offer PCTIA registered diploma programs in hair, esthetics, nails, and makeup. Interior Academy is dedicated to providing a faculty with the Provincial Instructor Diploma and Masters level credentials. Our focus on practical learning is based on the world's most advanced curriculum, the Pivot Point system. This dedication has resulted in outstanding and timely graduates who are in high demand.

Our full service salon and spa performs over 8,000 services per year, making us one of the busiest salon/spa in the region. This is the most valued part of our program, which makes  practical hands on learning possible for our students.

Interior Academy takes pride in going beyond the basic program and provides additional seminars and workshops to all our students.

Courses start on a regular basis, approximately every four weeks for hair and every eight weeks for esthetics / nails. Please contact our Admissions Advisor for exact dates and Makeup Artistry intake dates.

As a fully accredited PCTIA private training institute, financing is available through school payment plans, employment services, band funding, and most financial institutions for those who qualify.

• Employment Services - Human Resources Development Canada (HRDC) has programs available to those who qualify and are currently collecting insurable earnings through HRDC. Contact your local HRDC office for information about their current programs or Bowman Employment Services (www.bowmanemployment.com).
• Band Funding - The Academy has worked with many Bands in the region to facilitate financing and funding. Please contact your local Band Administrator for more information.
• Financial Institutions - For those who do not qualify for Band funding, Bowman funding, or HRDC sponsorship, your local bank or credit union may provide a student line of credit. The Academy has worked with all major financial institutes in the region and can assist students with their application process.
• Short-term no-interest payment plan available through Free Scholarship Searches.

In order to graduate students must:

• receive an 80% overall average.
• accrue the required hours for the program.
• meet all tuition obligations.

Yes, the complete Nail Technology Diploma Program is INCLUDED in the the full Professional Spa Technician Diploma Program, along with all Nail Tech student supplies, materials, and kit.

Contact the school to set up an appointment for an interview prior to registering for a course. Ensure you bring proof of age (government issued photo ID) and a transcript or proof of education level IF you are under the age of 19. Enrollment contracts, course outlines, and school policies are then reviewed and signed. Students who are under the age of 19 must have a parent or guardian signature on the enrollment contract. A non-refundable registration fee of $150.00 is required at the time of registration into a program.

Our Refund Policy is governed according to Private Career Training Institutions Agency (PCTIA) policy, which states that:

1. Refunds in the case of withdrawal or dismissal:

   Written notice must be provided by:

   1. student to the institution when the student withdraws and
   2. the institution to the student where the institution dismisses a student
2. Refunds before the program of study starts:
   1. if written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution less than seven (7) calendar days after the contract is made, and before the start of a program of study, the institution may retain the lesser of 10% of the total fees due under the contract or $100.00.
      subject to subsection (2) (a), if written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution thirty (30) calendar days or more before the start of a program of study, the institution may retain 10% of the total fee due under the contract.
   2. subject to subsection (2) (a), if written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution less than thirty (30) calendar days before the start of a program of study, the institution may retain 20% of the total fees due under the contract.
3. Refunds after the program of study starts:
   1. if written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution, or a student is dismissed within 10% of the program of study's duration, the institution may retain 30% of the total fees due under the contract.
   2. subject to subsection (3) (a), if written notice of withdrawal is received by the institution, or a student is dismissed within 30% of the program of study duration, the institution may retain 50% of the total fees due under the contract.
   3. if a student withdraws or is dismissed after 30% of the program of study's duration, no refund is required.
