Teen Pro-D Day – Hair Class Agenda (Ages 12+)
Class Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Drop-Off: 8:30 AM | Pickup: 3:00–4:00 PM

9:00 – 9:30 AM | Welcome & Hair Industry Overview | Meet instructors, academy tour, salon safety rules, what hairstylists do, career paths, professionalism |
9:30 – 10:15 AM | Health, Hygiene & Sanitation | Handwashing, tool safety, workstation setup, infection control, hair vs scalp health |
10:15 – 11:15 AM | Hair Tools & Sectioning Basics | Brushes, combs, irons; proper sectioning; safe heat use (demo + practice on mannequins) |
11:15 – 12:00 PM | Braiding Fundamentals | 3-strand braid, parting techniques, tension control; hands-on braiding practice on mannequin and on one’s own hair |
12:00 – 12:30 PM | Lunch Break | Supervised lunch, informal Q&A about hair school and careers |
12:30 – 2:15 PM | Flat-iron Curling Basics | Demo + supervised practice on mannequin heads and on one’s own hair |
2:15 – 2:45 PM | Hair Care & At-Home Practice | Product use, heat safety, what NOT to do at home |
2:45 – 3:00 PM | Wrap-Up & Certificates | Review skills learned, confidence check-in, certificate of completion |
Workshops include hands-on creative projects to build skills and confidence!
Students can continue working on mannequins until pickup*
