This grant is a Two day fully funded program for Prince George residents facing employment barriers. The program is offered through Connective’s ACES Program, which is designed to provide certificate-based training and job readiness skills.

Fundamental Lash Program

9:30am-5:00pm

Location: Best Western Plus, Prince George, 3387 BC-16.

Eligibility Criteria

Age 15+
Must be a resident of Prince George or vicinity, a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, or protected person legally entitled to work in Canada. *other types of residency may be considered
Must be experiencing one of the following barriers to employment
and not receiving duplicate financial supports from another provincial or federally funded labour market programs.

Housing Instability
Lack of recent and/or Canadian work experience
Lack of basic employment skills
Limited literacy, financial literacy, or digital literacy skills
Limited English language skills
Having less than a Grade 12 education
Mental health challenges
Housing instability
Recovering from addiction
Prior criminal justice involvement

Fundamental Lash Program:

Students spend 4 hours covering lash theory, manual overview, and mannequin work. Students spend 8 hours working on each other, and 2 models in class.

Students must submit 3 additional images for certification.

Waxing Certification Program:

2 classes, manual overview with deluxe kit, followed by practice on each other and models. Students will require 2+ models.

Master Brow Certification:

Students spend 4 hours covering theory. 4 components, including mapping, threading, shaping, waxing, tinting, and laminating the brows. Kits include a waxing kit, lamination kit, tint kit, and threading kit. Students would need 2 models and be working on other students.
